Rhizobium isolated from P. santalinus and VA mycorrhizal fungi viz., Glomus mosseae, G. masciculatum. and G. macrocarpum were together inoculated on Pterocarpus santalmus. The individual inoculation of the rhizobia and VA mycorrhizae enhanced plant growth and biomass production over control, where as the dual inoculation showed a much significant increase in plant biomass, number of nodules, phosphorus and nitrogen contents in the plants.
