The results of front line demonstration conducted in the farmers field in Tamil Nadu on the response of groundnut to the application of Zn, B, Sand Mo to soil and seed treatment with Zn, B and S showed a substantial yield increase for the soil application of Zn 5 kg ha−1 + B 1.0 kg ha−1 + S 40 kg hal and the yield increase was found to the tune of 24.2% for TMV 7 and 14.8% for JL 24 over control. As regards the influence of individual nutrients the effect was more for Zn followed by S and B. Seed treatment was less effective than soil application. Similar trend of results was observed with nutrient availability.
