1Department of Agronomy,
CSK Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya, Palampur - 176062, India
ABSTRACT
A field experiment was conducted during kharif, 2001 and kharif, 2002 to study the effect of seed rate, row spacing and sowing time on yield and related param-eters in soybean for newly released variety of soybean cv ‘Harit Soya’. The results revealed that a higher seed rate of 90 kg/ha resulted in significantly higher grain yield, straw yield and economic returns. Row spacing did not influence these parameters to a significant level, whereas, crop sown in 1st week of June resulted in significantly higher grain yield, straw yield and economic returns.
