PERFORMANCE OF GROUNDNUT AS INFLUENCED BY ORGANIC AND INORGANIC SOURCES OF NUTRIENTS AND THEIR METHOD OF APPLICATION
1Department of Agronomy,
Allahabad Agricultural Institute, Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh-211 007, India
ABSTRACT
A field experiment to study the effect of sources of nutrients viz. organic and inorganic and their
method of application on groundnut was carried out at Allahabad. Application of 13t FYM/ha
recorded significantly higher yield of groundnut as compared to control, while the application of
75% recommended dose of Fertilizer (RDF) recorded significantly higher nut yield over 25 and 50% RDF but it was at par with 100% RDF. Root zone application of nutrients recorded significantly higher nut yield as compared to broadcasting. Among the interaction effects combination of 13t FYM + 75% RDF, 13t FYM + root zone application and 100% RDF + root zone application recorded the highest nut yield of groundnut as compared to other combinations. The growth and yield attributes also showed similar trends.
