ABSTRACT
A field trial was conducted to study the response of Khasi mandarin to organic versus inorganic fertilization. Application of 110 kg pig manure recorded higher mean fruit yield (107 kg/tree), which was at par with application of 70 kg pig manure (106 kg/tree) over control (80.5 kg/tree). The nitrogen application at the rate of 750 gmN/tree produced higher yield (111 kg/tree) over application of 1000 gm N/tree (101 kg/tree) and control (91.80 kg/tree). Potassium application also had beneficial effect on fruit yield. The application of 650 gm K 2O had highest mean fruit yield/tree (107 kg) over control (94.9 kg). A combination of 110 kg pig manure + 750 gmN + 650 Kp produced highestfruit yield/tree (163 kg) and lowest fruit drop (19.73%).
