ABSTRACT
The field experiment on cu1tural practices and orglinic amendments against termites were conducted during 1998–99 in the Mango orchaid at Rohenda (Bulandshahar), Uttar Pradesh, India. Irrigation and hoeing done at an interval of one arid two monthly was found most effective in seppresslng termite population whereas three and six monthly irrigation and hoeing was relatively less effective. Application of neem cake was found hestand provided effective control upto four months fonowed by Farm Yard Manure which remained effective upto three months. Neem leaves and wood ash were relatively less effective. Thus, cu1tural practices arid organic amendments win help to limit the minimal use of modern pesticides in an integrated approach.
