VARIABILITY IN A SIB-MATED PROGENY OF C·x R (COFFEA CONGENSIS X COFFEA CANEPHORA) COFFEE

ABSTRACT
Five growth characters and three yield characters ota sib-mated progeny of C x R (Coffea congensis x Coffea canephora) coffee were studied presently in relation to the parental characters. All the characters showed continuous frequency distribution and some of them showed transgressive variation, indicating their polygenic control. Significant positive correlation of most the agronomic characters has also been revealed in the present study.
