1Division of Plant Breeding,
ICAR Research Complex For NEH Region Umroi Road, Umiam - 793 103, India
ABSTRACT
Sixty-seven genotypes of groundnut (Arachis hypogea) both bunch and spreading types were evaluated in 3 environments i.e. kharif rainy season 1998, 1999, 2000 to examine yield stability across changing environmental conditions. Substantial variation was observed in the mean performance of all the 67 genotypes over environments and in the environmental mean over test genotypes. ICGV-87867 was the most stable genotype. Genotypes ICGV-86326, ICGV-88348, ICGV-88338 and ICGV-87415 performed well in favourable conditions. While NRCG-1752 was good for unfavourable environment
