ABSTRACT
Component analysis indicated that additive component of genetic variance was significant for all the traits except panicle length and 1000-grain weight whereas, measures of dominance component were significant for all the traits suggesting the involvement of both these components in the inheritance of these traits, but the greater magnitude of dominance component than its corresponding additive component of variance demonstrated greater role of dominance in genetic control of these traits. The average degree of dominance indicated over- dominance for all the traits. Frequency of recessive alleles was in excess of dominant alleles.
