A STUDY ON ATTITUDE OF FARMERS TOWARDS MULBERRY SERICULTURE IN UDAIPUR DISTRICT OF RAJASTHAN

A survey of seventy sericulturists was conducted using personal interview method in two tehsils of Udaipur district of Rajasthan to assess their attitude towards sericulture. It was found that majority (58.57 per cent) of sericulturists had favourable attitude towards sericulture. The overall attitude was favourable (pooled mean= 3.794). Statements” farmers can utilize their lean period for sericulture” and “ sericulture has come as a real boon to the farmers” were given first and second rank respectively.
