ASSOCIATON STUDY IN YIELD AND YIELD COMPONENT TRAITS IN HYBRID RICE (ORYZA SATIVA L.) UNDER NORMAL AND SALINE/SODIC CONDITION.
1Department of Genetics and Plant Breeding,
N.D.University of Agriculture and Technology Faizabad -224 229, India.
ABSTRACT
Correlations were estimated among 8 characters of yield and its major components. The experimental material consisted of 24 F1 s respective 24 pollen parents, one CMS line IR 58025A and one check variety, Saroo 52. These were evaluated in randomized block design with three replications on two environments (normal and saline/ sodic soils) The genotypic and phenotypic correlation coefficients were observed positive and significant for grain yield with most of yield attributing traits under both environments, i.e normal and saline/ sodic condition.
