BIO- EFFICACY OF INSECTICIDES AGAINST PADDY INSECT PESTS UNDER MID-HILL CONDITIONS OF HIMACHAL PRADESH

ABSTRACT
Five insecticides viz., Confidor Ultra 100 EC, Bulldock 025SC, Confidor 200 SL, Ethiprole 10 SC and Nuvacron 36 WSC @ 30, 12.5, 20, 50 and 500 g ai/ha were evaluated in field experiments for their bio-efficacy against paddy insect pests. Imidacloprid 50g + betacyfluthrin 50g (Confidor Ultra 100 EC) @ 30g ai/ha and betacyfluthrin (Bulldock 025 SC) @ 12.5 g ai/ha were statistically at par with the bio-efficacy of monocrotophos (Nuvacron 36 WSC) @ 500 g ai/ha for controlling major insect-pests of paddy under mid-hill conditions of Himachal Pradesh.
