OPINION OF THE FARMERS ABOUT PUBLIC EXTENSION SERVICE

ABSTRACT
The information on the opinion of the farmers about the public extension service will be
helpful in redefining and redesigning it to meet the ensuing challenges before Indian agricultural
development. The study was undertaken in the purposively selected Latur district of Marathwada
region. A multistage random sampling technique was used to select talukas, villages and farmers.
It was observed from the study that the majority of the farmers (52.78 per cent) were having
favourable overall opinion about public extension service
helpful in redefining and redesigning it to meet the ensuing challenges before Indian agricultural
