ABSTRACT
To investigate changes in glucose concentration during caprine follicle development, a total of 372 numbers of ovaries were collected from abbatoir. Follicular fluid from sman (2–3 mm in diameter), medium (>3–5 mm in diameter) and large (> 5 mm in diameter) follicles were conected and glucose was estimated by O-Toludine method. Glucose concentration was 24.43±1.38, 23.11±0.68 and 18.5±1.83 mg% in small, medium and large follicles respectively. Although glucose concentration in follicular fluid decreased along with the increase in size of follicle, the difference was statistically not significant.
