ABSTRACT
Two doses of BMD viz., 150 g and 200 g and virginiamycin @ 500 g/MT of feed were fed to the broiler chicks of commercial strain till 6 weeks of age to evaluate their effects on the performance of growth and carcass characteristics along with a control diet. Both BMD and virginiamycin significantly inereased (P 0.01) the body weight gains and also improved the feed conversion ratio compared to the control diet. The carcass characteristics showed the highest edible weight in the group fed virginiamycin @ 500 g/MT (76.86%) followed by diet having BMD @ 200 g/MT (71.92%), BMD @ 150 g/MT (71.41%) and the control diet (0.68%)
