The present study was conducted in Uttar Pradesh since it has the maximum pig population. Three districts Etawah, Bareilly and Aligarh from Uttar Pradesh were selected purposively. Two blocks from each district and 40 pig owners from each block were selected randomly. Thus, the total sample comprised of 240 pig owners. The respondents were personally interviewed with the help of structured interview schedule. The data so collected were classified and statistically analysed.
