1Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying,
Marathwada Agriculture University, Parbhani - 431 402, India
ABSTRACT
A study was conducted on the physico-chemical properties of crossbred (HF × Deoni). The mean values of individual milk samples for Lactometer Reading, Titratable Acidity, pH, Electrical Conductivity, Viscosity and Refractive Index were 32.55, 0.131, 6.658, 4.704 millimohs, 1.758 Cps and 1.3421 respectively. The same parameters observed for herd milk samples were 32.435, 0.139, 6.712, 4.672 millimohs, 1.66 Cps and 1.3419 respectively. The finding indicated similarity of Holdeo milk with that of cow milk.
