ABSTRACT
The data for the present study were taken from 752 chicks of White Leghorn strain which were produced from 20 sires maintained at research center of Pantnagar University. The averages of weight at 15-day interval from day-old age were taken up to 20 weeks of 892. The heritability estimates of all the characters ranged from 0.15±0.08 to 0.32±0.12. The positive genetic and phenotypic correlation indicated that the birds appeared grow at uniform rate for body weight and thus may show similar response to genetic and phenotypic variation.
