Improvement of Productivity of Clusterbean Through Front Line Demonstrations In Northern Madhya Pradesh
ABSTRACT
Thirty Front Line Demonstrations on the farmers’ field were conducted on complete recommended package of practices in comparison with farmers’ practice during kharif 2011 on clusterbean crop in four districts of Gwalior and Chambal divisions of Madhya Pradesh. On the basis of four districts average results indicated that higher seed yield (1762 kg/ha) and net monetary return (76,449 /ha) of Guar was obtained under recommended package of practices. The seed yield was 42.10% higher as compared to farmer’s practices. Farmers' practices obtained (1240 kg/ha) of Guar seed yield and net monetary return (54,003 /ha) only.
