Traditional method, form the basis of management of plant diseases in low input situations. The ancient Indian literture documents use of plant products, animals products and wastes for curing the diseases of human beings and plants. The research efforts made on managing panama disease of banana using modified panchavya mixture has shown the promise of the systems. Literature available on the topic is presented in an abridged form.
