Godavari a noble cultivar of wheat for timely sown irrigated conditions of Maharashtra State, was released in the year 2006. In University multilocation trials, the genotype Godavari (NIDW 295) produced higher grain yield than the best checks MACS 2846 (16.60 %) and HD 2189 (22.86 %). In the AICWIP trials conducted over three years, the variety produced higher grain yield over the best checks MACS 2846 (19.60%) and NIAW 301 (16.45 %). Godavari produced 15.79 % higher grain yield over the check MACS 3125 on farmers’ field.
